LifeServe Blood Center will hold a community blood drive in Jefferson Tuesday, Feb. 13, from 12:30 to 5:30 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 801 W. Lincoln Way.
According to LifeServe, 90 percent of the population will experience a need for blood at some point during their lives. Whether it’s a trauma victim, surgery patient, cancer fighter, premature baby or mother in distress after delivery, someone in the United States needs blood every two seconds. Because there is no substitute for human blood, local patients rely on LifeServe donors to regularly roll up their sleeve and make a lifesaving donation.
